Things to do on your holiday in Porto Heli
Ideal for a quiet break or an activity packed holiday.

Porto Heli offers plenty of activities if you like to be busy or you can just relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.  The village  itself can offer modern bars or traditional kafeneons, fast food or Greek cuisine, fashionable boutiques or souvenir shops plus banks, hardware stores, internet cafes, news agencies and pharmacies.  You can go to the open air cinema and during the summer months you'll find various book fairs, musical recitals and puppet theatres going on in the village plus the fun fair to keep you amused.  Water sports such as sailing, scuba diving, skiing and windsurfing are all available or you can hire a small boat and explore the picturesque coastline and the numerous beaches suitable for swimming and snorkelling.

Your holiday enjoyment is our top priority.
Local area excursions
The quay in Ermioni, site of the weekly market. The local bus can take you to explore the hillside craters in Didima or the Frahiti cave in Koilada.  Kranidi is the business hub of the area and has maintained much of it's old world charm whilst offering a wide range of everyday facilities - you may see a donkey tethered outside the bank whilst it's rider withdraws money from the ATM.  Ermioni is the site of the local weekly market and all the local villages have their own celebrations, exhibitions and festivals during the summer months.
Excursions in Argolis
The Venetian style Palamidis Fortress high above Nafplion. Argolis is an area rich in mythology and archaeology.  Some of the archaeological sites within easy driving distance of Porto Heli are: Epidavros - the site of the best maintained amphitheatre still used for performances today, Mycenae - where the famous Lion Gate towers over the entry to the city and you'll find the tomb of Agamemnon and Nafplion - which is where you'll see the Palamidis Fortress and the Bourzi Island Fortress, reputedly once a home for retired executioners.
Excursions by sea
A harbour view of Spetses island. From your convenient base in Porto Heli you also have the option of visiting the nearby islands of Spetses - home of the Greek heroine sea captain, Laskarina Bouboulina, who fought the Turks and Hydra - well known for the quality of the gold jewelry and home to a number of artisans.  Another favorite location for a day out is Monemvasia - the fortified city with it's Byzantine churches and cobbled maze of alleyways.
